A Note for Parents

Your role in Statesboro FUMC's Youth Ministry is important. We hope to not only keep you informed on all that's going on, but to involve you in the ministry, and to provide you with resources to help you as you guide your teenager through important and exciting years.

For Trips and Event
For youth to participate in any youth trip, you'll need to complete a Parental Consent & Medical Release Form

An Opportunity to Serve
It takes all of us working together to effectively minister to our teens. Although, as a parent, you may feel like your son or daughter doesn't want you "hanging around", we really think your participation in the spiritual growth of your child is too important to skip out on being involved.

That means we need each of you to find a place you can plug into the youth ministry and use your gifts! God has gifted each of us with specific talents and gifts; we simply need to find ways to use those within the community and the church. I hope you will step in to assist where you can. You are needed; not just to chaperone, but to help lead our youth by example.

Plus, we think that deep down, you child would see your participation as a sign that you care about them and their friends.

If you would like to be more actively involved as a counselor, group leader, teacher, chaperone, behind the scenes chair stacker or any other way, just contact the youth staff.
